Vehicles we accept in Minneapolis

Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Twin City Wheels, we believe in transforming your unused vehicles into meaningful support for our community. We accept nearly any vehicle, whether it's drivable or not, to help fund our essential benefits-research service. Donating your car, boat, or even a motorcycle can make a real difference in the lives of your neighbors. We take a variety of vehicles and work to ensure each one finds a purpose that serves the community. No matter the condition, your donation can help us connect our local residents with important resources such as food assistance and healthcare programs.

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Donated cars and sedans are often sold at auction to the highest bidder, providing essential funding for our programs. If they are not suitable for resale, they are recycled or parted out to maximize their value.

Minneapolis is a city full of families who depend on reliable transportation; your car donation can help keep them connected.

Pickup Trucks
1995-present

Pickup trucks generally find new owners at auction, or they're dismantled for parts if damaged. Their versatility makes them much sought after in our local market.

Many Minneapolis residents rely on pickups for their work and outdoor adventures, making these vehicles an important community asset.

SUVs & Crossovers
1995-present

These vehicles are typically sold at auction, often fetching good prices due to their popularity. If not operational, they are stripped for parts or recycled.

In the Twin Cities, SUVs and crossovers are perfect for families and adventures; your donation can help keep local families moving.

Motorcycles
2000-present

Motorcycles are usually auctioned off to enthusiasts, or if damaged, parted out. They offer a unique way to raise funds while bringing joy to new riders.

Minneapolis has a vibrant motorcycle community; your donation could spark new journeys on our city roads.

RVs & Campers
2000-present

RVs and campers are often sold to new families or adventurers at auction. If severely damaged, they may be dismantled for parts.

Many Minnesota families love to explore the great outdoors; donating your RV could help fuel their next adventure.

Boats
1995-present

Boats are typically auctioned off to enthusiasts or families looking to enjoy Minnesota's lakes. If not operational, they may be recycled.

With our abundance of lakes, donating a boat can directly contribute to local recreational activities and community enjoyment.

Commercial Vehicles
2000-present

Commercial vehicles usually get sold at auction. If they are in disrepair, they may be refurbished or stripped for parts.

Minneapolis is home to many small businesses; your commercial vehicle can help someone start or grow their venture.

Non-running Vehicles
Any age

Even if your vehicle isn’t running, it can still be valuable. We handle non-running vehicles with care; they may be sold for parts or recycled.

In Minneapolis, many residents have old vehicles taking up space. Donating can help turn that unused asset into essential community support.

Condition guide

When considering donating a vehicle, it’s important to understand the different conditions that affect acceptance. Running vehicles are ideal, as they can be resold to benefit our mission directly. Non-running vehicles are also accepted and can be auctioned for parts or recycled. Even if your vehicle has seen better days, it can still contribute to local efforts.

Vehicles with salvage titles can be accepted, but those with rebuilt or reconstructed titles may require additional considerations. In general, we assess each vehicle on a case-by-case basis to ensure it can positively impact our community programs. If a vehicle has a lien or is missing a title, please contact us for specific guidance.
